Major fashion brand Acler secures new CBD office space

Fashion bigwig Acler has signed a 3-year lease for a trendy office-warehouse building in the Adelaide CBD at 134 Gilbert Street.

Zandra McGee of Savills Office Leasing negotiated the term on behalf of SAMEX Properties for an effective rate of circa $260 per square metre per annum, with a 2 year option to renew.

The new lease follows Acler’s expansion after signing to Myer in 2015, winning over international celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Beyoncé and Kourtney Kardashian.

“Acler is South Australia’s homegrown fashion success story,” said Ms. McGee. “They’re quickly becoming one of the world’s top fashion brands, so they needed a real estate solution that accommodated this and fitted their image.”

The 425 square metre refurbished chic brick warehouse features eight on-site secure car parks included within the rent, as well as rare exclusive access to a large rooftop space that could be developed into event space. Large industrial windows provide ample natural light throughout the building.

Interest in the property increased after Zandra McGee recommended a renovation.

“The property was always a great building and had so much potential, but we thought it would be good to open-up the floors to open-plan workspace with new modern amenities, and cool, stylish interior updates so that prospective tenants could see what the end result would be,” said Ms McGee.

Acler was secured before the works were even completed. The end result included black steel-framed industrial windows, oak look herringbone style floor coverings, and new LED lighting.

“We’re excited to follow Acler’s continued expansion,” said Ms McGee, “and pleased to see the completed refurbishment.”
