Many parents in Hong Kong plan in advance with regard to their children’s education with overseas schools as one of the popular options. In 2017 – 2018, Hong Kong was placed fourth in terms domicile of international students choosing to study in UK*.

In general UK schools has an excellent reputation for education and local government schools are graded using Ofsted which determines the quality of the school. Not only is the ratings and the quality of the school important, the location of your property is equally important. Other than going private, to have a chance to attend certain schools, you will need to be in the right catchment area. Parents should consider choosing a location with a higher concentration of excellent schools since demand is high for school places.

For Tertiary education, living in a catchment area is not a big factor but for those looking for top Universities and to be in London there are many options including world renowned Imperial College, UCL, LSE and King’s College. Not only is London a world class city, it attracts all walks of life enabling students to broaden their horizons in experience, understanding and knowledge. It is interacting with your environment and the people you meet that will enrich your mind beyond the education.

For those students who happen to be studying near UCL, University of Westminster, LSE and King’s College, there are some centrally located apartments for those who want to be in the thick of things. 101 on Cleveland is within 10 mins walk to UCL and University of Westminster whereas Lincoln Square is within 5 mins walk to LSE and 10 mins to King’s College.
