From Melbourne’s culture-led Southbank to Sydney’s established North Shore and the evolving health and education precinct of Kensington, Savills Singapore is bringing The Australia Collection – three distinct residential developments – to Singapore this September.
Cavallo in Melbourne’s Southbank, Park Avenue Residences in St Leonards and The Kensington in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs offer Singapore buyers a choice of locations and lifestyles, with connectivity and access to education, healthcare, recreation and lifestyle amenities among their key attributes.
Together, the developments highlight the breadth of residential choices across Sydney and Melbourne – spanning inner-city living close to Melbourne’s cultural and entertainment precincts, established North Shore amenity, and an Eastern Suburbs neighbourhood shaped by investment in transport, health and education infrastructure.
Adrian Lim, Senior Director and Head of International Residential Sales, Savills Singapore, said: "For Singapore buyers considering Australia, the conversation increasingly goes beyond the property itself. Location, connectivity and access to education, healthcare and lifestyle amenities all contribute to the appeal of a neighbourhood, especially for buyers considering a home for their own or their family’s longer-term needs.
"These three developments illustrate that in very different ways: from the culture and energy of Melbourne’s Southbank to the established amenity of Sydney’s North Shore and the evolving health and education precinct around Kensington. Buyers can therefore consider not only the individual home, but also the type of neighbourhood and lifestyle that best suits their needs."
Cavallo: Melbourne living at the heart of Southbank
Located at 38 Clarke Street in Southbank, Cavallo places residents within reach of Melbourne’s cultural, dining and entertainment offerings. The development is 600 metres from the Yarra River and Yarra Promenade, 650 metres from South Melbourne Market and 1.3 kilometres from the Melbourne Arts Precinct, with sporting and recreational destinations including the Royal Botanic Gardens, Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne Cricket Ground also nearby.
Southbank is connected to Melbourne’s CBD and surrounding neighbourhoods through the city’s train and tram networks. The area also provides access to tertiary education, with the development’s surrounding education precinct including the University of Melbourne’s Southbank campus, La Trobe University and Victoria University.
Designed by Melbourne-founded architecture practice FK, Cavallo draws on its Southbank setting through a contemporary façade incorporating brickwork, recessed balconies, expansive glazing and integrated greenery.
Park Avenue Residences: connected North Shore living
In Sydney, Park Avenue Residences offers a different proposition in St Leonards, combining the established residential character of the North Shore with convenient access to transport, healthcare, retail and education.
St Leonards train station is approximately a six-minute walk from the development, while North Sydney and the Sydney CBD are within easy reach. Nearby amenities include Mall 88 and Royal North Shore Hospital, both listed as within a six-minute walk or less in the development materials.
The area is also surrounded by a concentration of educational institutions, including North Sydney Boys High School, North Sydney Girls High School, Wenona School, Monte Sant’ Angelo College, SHORE, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, TAFE NSW and Reddam Early Learning School.
Developed by JQZ, Park Avenue Residences features interiors by Australian designer David Hicks, combining natural textures, timber flooring and stone surfaces with views towards Sydney Harbour and the city.
The Kensington: an evolving health and education precinct
Located at 137–151 Anzac Parade, The Kensington comprises one-, two- and three-bedroom and SOHO apartments in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Developed by Australian property group TOGA, the project brings together TOGA, Turner Studio and interior design practice Richards Stanisich.
The development sits within a neighbourhood characterised by its proximity to major health and education institutions, including UNSW and the Randwick health and education precinct. Kensington is also served by Sydney’s CBD and South East Light Rail, connecting the neighbourhood towards the CBD.
Beyond its education and healthcare links, Kensington offers access to Centennial Parklands, Royal Randwick Racecourse and the sporting and entertainment facilities around Moore Park, while the beaches of Coogee, Clovelly and Bondi are also within reach.
The combination of new infrastructure and established lifestyle amenities is contributing to the evolution of Kensington as an Eastern Suburbs residential neighbourhood, providing connectivity to the CBD alongside access to green space, recreation and the coast.
Savills Singapore is working with SIRI Advisory Group, an Australia-based property development marketing agency, to present the three developments to buyers in Singapore.
